Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The paper has followed the recommended template for submission to International Journal in Applied Linguistics of Parahikma
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Manuscripts should follow the APA 6th referencing style.

Author Guidelines

International Journal in Applied Linguistics of Parahikma is a semiannual, peer-reviewed, official, international journal of Institut Parahikma Indonesia. It publishes articles (e.g., conceptual paper, research papers, review articles, book reviews) on language learning and teaching and applied linguistics.

Submission of Manuscripts

All submissions must be uploaded through the journal website at https://journal.parahikma.ac.id/ijalparahikma/submissions. Registration will be first required before being able to log in for paper submission.

Preparation of Manuscripts

International Journal in Applied Linguistics of Parahikma accepts academic articles (e.g., conceptual paper, research papers, review articles, book reviews) typed in English between approximately 3,000 and 7,000 words, with book reviews no longer than 2,000 words in length. The paper should use 11 point size of Times New Roman, with 1.5 line spacing. Referencing system should follow the requirements of the APA referencing system.

Review Policy
Manuscripts will be firstly screened by the editorial team. If a manuscript is of insufficient quality, it may be rejected at this stage. However, if approved, it will be passed on to two more anonymous reviewers according to their expertise. The double-blind review process will be used. The editorial team reserves the right to accept or reject articles and unpublished manuscripts
